We will be holding a meeting at the South Cotswolds Pedigree Whippet Racing Club on 27th July which will take place at the Commoners Cricket Ground, Nympsfield, Nailsworth, Nr Stroud.

Racing will be club handicap over 160yds.

Trialling before and after racing.

TODAY we ran the whippets off their club handicap marks in the 3rd round of the competition.

We welcomed newcomers Patrick, Jade and Keira to the club with 'Persian Kate' who ran two excellent races in tight finishes on her first run at the track.

Steve's youngster Red Apache (Quiver x Mystify Me) running in the competition for the first time won both his races in good style as did Gary's Rosie (by Fatal Attraction) who having won her first race after a slowish start, fought tenaciously to pass all her rivals for a second round win too. Other winners to double up were Kit Cat (Quiver x Squashbug) who just pipped her sister Persian Kate and old stalwart Somedog.

Steve has managed a new record in the five runnings of this competition and that is to have three of his whippets in the top three positions on the leader board at the half way stage of the competition - WELL DONE STEVE!!!

Special thanks to Mike (Lure and Bike) and to everyone else who helped out with the track and dog trapping.
