Just wondering whether any lure coursing trials/events are held in the Devon and Cornwall area? I don't know how it all works so I would really appreciate advice and ideas from you guys :thumbsup:

I have one KC registered whippet, 6 mths old, and one ped (but not KC reg) whippet, 9 mths old. The younger girl, Ella, is very keen and seems pretty quick too so I was thinking of trialling her to see how it goes?

I live on the Devon/Cornwall border and time is limited as I also run point-to-point racehorses so it's difficult for me to travel too far

What should I do to get started?? I thought initially it would be nice to attend a meeting to get an idea of how it all falls into place, but I don't know where the meetings are held :- "

Look in the countrymans weekly when all the show events go in there will be events all over the country mostly for lurchers & run by lurcherworld.

Hello to you. If you want to take part in lure coursing events then the East Anglian Whippet Country Club would perhaps be a club worth considering. If you are interested in competing at a little above the just for fun level then please feel free to pm me and I will gladly give details. They run lure coursing meetings (for fun) at the polo ground Taunton Sommerset if you contact Rae/Beejay through K9 they will be able to give you more details of any future meetings that are planned in your area.
