After thinking that everything was now ok with the dogs, I had to take Rafferty back to the vets this afternoon

On Wed night he was licking at his bottom a bit :b . On Thursday he was still doing it & when I had a look it looked like he'd been stung or bitten right next to his bum hole (w00t) :b

I took him to the vets today & it turns out that he has an anal gland abcess. Oh that sounds soooo sore, poor lad. The vet emptied it & cleaned it up & I've got to keep it clean for a couple of days till the tablets kick in & then it should just heal up.

Best to check there glands on a regular basis, i empty mine, the dogs that is :lol: at least once a month, its an easy procedure

He has never had a problem with them before now so it's quite a surprise that he's suddenly having trouble with them.

I have to empty Hebes about once a month :x & touch wood :luck: Scrumpy seems ok so far.
