St Johns hospice is a registered charity on justgiving.com, you can set up an 'in memory' page and donate direct to them, would it be worth doing this so that there's a lump sum in Steve's name from whippet racers and also for those who can't attend the funeral?

Crying reading this - Steve you were a wonderful, honest, respected racer

and gentleman, wish I could have attended and paid my respect - thoughts

and love to Julie and families. May you RIP

Elaine

Julie and family did him proud sounds strange to say but it really was a lovely day, no hymms, prayers but a celebration of his life with stories from his school days, his teenage punk days with tears turning to laughter and applause ,from his working life through to his whippet days leading onto his later successful time in the greyhounds, he would have loved it

RIP Steve (Ben)

we couldnt make steves funeral but we will allways remember you with great fondness steve.

Julie got Steve's dog Blue Blood through to the semi final of the Manchester Puppy Cup last night, the dog flew out and lead to the 3rd bend, just getting nudged into 2nd place, spoke to Julie and she was made up with the run after the dog had very little done with him lately.

Let's hope he gets through to the final, I'm sure Steve will be cheering this one on.
