Can you help used a vet stapler on my dog great item work really well. The thing is how long do you leave the staples in before removing them.

Can you not take the dog to a vet?

I know some have used these items in ''emergency'' situations (hence me asking) As the urgency is now over, surely it's reasonable for you to seek further experienced treatment from a vet?

10 days .....Just keep an eye on the wound for weeping, swelling etc .... as this may mean the dog needs AB's ....

yeah 10 days sounds right, plenty of savlon should help too

broad spectrum antibiotics will help if theres an infection.i usually keep some synulox in

Thanks i thought it was about ten days will take them out now. p s i have had him on A B for the last ten days, wound looks really good .Definately recommend the stapler so easy to use and pain free. :cheers:
