Most people on here know that i had my kennels broken into last year, the dogs that are still missing are a pretty fawn bitch and a fawn and white in whelp bitch. Ive just seen 2 bitch's online at a kennel called Cottage Kennels in collumpton in devon. One is fawn and the other is black. the in whelp bitch was put to a black dog.

Ive just spoken to the owner and her attitude was disgusting she wont let me even come and see these bitch's and she spent a good 20 minutes interigating me and running down all dog breeders.

Im waiting for the the local liscencing department to call me back as shes supposed to be a liscenced boarding/rescue kennel, ive also contacted the police as these dogs maybe my stolen bitch's/pups.

Does anyone know anything about these dogs and these kennels, her name is joanne and her kennels are called Cottage kennels 01884 821218 she dosent sound very knowledgable on whippets either or very helpful to a devasted person who has had 20 years of there breeding stolen.

One of the dogs was Tattooed and the other id not had her long enough to get her tattooed/chipped. But why dont these people contact the police when they get dogs in and see if anything maybe stolen.

Evrey thing i said to this kennel owner she had to say the opposite. I told her my fawn bitch when i had her wasent a good eater, well she replied it cant be yours then cos this one eats well!! thats hardly a good way to decide if its my dog or not !!

If I was you I would just go to the kennels  but call in at Collumpton police station first and inform them of the situation.

The police station is situated on the left as you approach the traffic lights just as your coming to the town centre :luck:

Bernie, talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

This woman in Collumpton is well known to all decent whippet folk down here, as you are. I just want to know why you keep your dogs in small cold kennels in a field over half a mile from where you live? Why are you surprised they got stolen.

I'm unaware of the circumstances behind both parties BUT if I had reason to believe my dogs were stolen and suspected someone, I wouldn't be posting it in public and giving them the heads up and I certainly wouldn't be slating someone whilst mentioning their business because if your wrong, they'd be well within their rights to persue you for libel.

Take whatever evidence you have of proof of ownership of these dogs to the police and let them manage it. For all you know this person could just be providing these dogs with a home and are completely innocent.

Well said jackie spot on

If i had a dog stolen and thought i'd found out where they were i'd have been there like a shot to see if it were mine, if neccesary calling in the Police for back up.

Unless the dogs have chips/tattoo's or a unique distinguishing mark you don't stand a chance of getting it back anyway as it happened to me 15 years ago with a rottie pup stolen in a burglary. Possession is 9/10ths of the law and unless you can prove beyond any doubt that the dog is yours it is classed as the property of the current owner, oh and any testing on the dog such as DNA etc has to have the current owners permission which of course you wont get if they know anything about it proving the dog is yours they will decline.

Every one of my dogs is chipped the day i get them if not already done
