Strange 'members'

Nigel there are loads of guests on the board tonight and two members without lines under their names called Inktomi Spider and Google.com.

What are they - are they web-trawlers or something? Just wondered as I always associate spiders with negative stuff, crawling the web spreading viruses (or am I paranoid? :b ). Would love to know more.

'Inktomi Spider and Google.com' - yes these are web spiders from search engines indexing pages - nothing to be worried about.

There did seem to be a problem with guests - each new guest seemed to increase the guest number but they never went away - so the guest number kept on going up & up. I've just done a bit of maintenance on the database & the numbers seem to coming down again slowly. Hopefully it's just a one off...
