saw this article in a local rag and tbh it struck me as strange.this occurred only yards from where some dogs were taken by the police recently as part of the investigation into pit bulls and dog fighting in the area where a young girl was killed by her uncles pit bull.ive never heard of dog thieves ringing up the owners to tell them where to find the dog thats been stolen.anyone who is so callous as the steal a pet certainly wouldnt be bothered about it enough to ring the owners up and tell them where the dog is the same day!i wonder if everything about this story is being told? :unsure:

have heard stories of people stealing dogs and then ringing up to see if the dog is microchipped and if it is not they are saying 'tough' we have the dog now :angry:

I read that one as well. It's def odd.

Perhaps the tip off came from a friend of the people who did it. They might have boasted to their mates? Who knows.

At least the poor thing didn't bleed or starve to death; or indeed have to fight.

There's prob alot more to the story than meets the eye I think.

short of shilling. No normal person could cause such suffering

just been talking to a lady i know from our local site she lives in the next road to this family.she said they got the ladys phone number off the dogs collar that had his name and her address on.i think theyd stolen the pup for fighting from what ive heard.
