just to say got pup 6 months old thinking of racing him looking for help

Where abouts do you live? ......It'll be best to find a local club to start your pup off at. At 6 months he'll be able to start learning about racing etc ..... Whats his breeding?

Jordan is in N Ireland

dont try racing till he's at least a few months older

if pedigree, best place to race in NIreland is the Sporting Whippet Club, once a month in Antrim

most game fairs and lurcher shows in Ireland (north and south) also have whippet racing

see Margaret McStays calendar listing in the lurcher section

there's a lurcher event in Annaghmore, Co Armagh (near Portadown) this Sat 14 Apr

Hi Jordan, Don't know where in Northern Ireland you are based but .........

 

The first Sporting Whippet Club N.I. Show/ race event of 2012 takes place on Sunday 29th April. It is for pure bred whippets only, if you are interested why not come along with your whippet pup. We hold 1 event a month April - Sept with racing and showing at each event, for both adult and puppy whippets. Our venue is DUNSILLY KENNELS, Milltown Road, Antrim. BT41 2JJ and booking in for the racing has to be done between 12 - 12.30 pm, so it's a good idea to get there around midday or shortly before. All dogs racing have to be muzzled!!

 

Where/who did you get your pup from, and do you know it's breeding? any pics of him?
