Hi,

If I was to stud my dog out, would I get a stud fee or pick of the litter? And who decides which one?

Thanks

It depends on the contract you arrange.

I do think it is a little disappointing though that your first and only question about entering into this important arrangement is about money.

What about health testing your dog before you consider using him to father puppies.

You will need a mentor. Putting a dog and bitch together is not straightforward and there is a lot that can go wrong, especially the first time for either.

Make sure whatever agreement you make is in writing. It is wiser to take a stud fee in case something goes wrong with the prospective litter, or they are raised in a way you don't like. If you decide you'd like a pup after all, you return the stud fee, which should be the price of one pup.

Remember people, we know nothing of the context here. This could be very much a hypothetical question, or the OP may already have researched the other aspects...

Thank you for not jumping to conclusion Judy, I have researched on other topics already. It's just that I wasn't sure so I asked.
Thank you for showing concern, I assure you he is in very good hands ☺️
Thank you
