I can't believe what I saw this morning. A man out with a young lab puppy, I'd say only a few weeks old and I'm guessing a "Christmas Puppy" :( , walking with it off lead on the pavement beside a busy road.

When he wanted to cross the road he picked the pup up and carried it across, then dumped it down on the pavement on the other side and walked off expecting the pup to follow. Not only didn't he have a lead, the pup didn't even have a collar on  I was the other side of the road with quite a lot of traffic between us, I couldn't get close enough to say anything and by the time I'd managed to cross he'd gone.

I'm actually pretty sure I recognise the bloke, and if I'm right the poor pup doesn't stand a chance anyway in that household (remember Winston, the blind, matted Beddy left to roam I posted about here? - same family). His best bet will be if they tire of him sooner rather than later. Gawd why do these people have dogs

Oh what a worrying thing to see.

doesnt it make you so mad - what do breeders think they are doing when they let pups go to people who clearly dont have much caring for a new life - cant they tell what people are like - or do they just hear what they want to get a fast buck ?

sending hopeful thoughts for the poor little mite

:luck: :luck: :luck:

God, he sounds an absolute moron. Poor puppy. I wonder if it's even had it's innoculations :(

Just another pup, in a few months time on the unwanted list, these people need shooting, it makes my blood boil, poor little darling,LADY P :( (w00t)

doesnt surprise me at all.nothing does any more. :( my friend who has a shop next to one of ours said she was on the bus coming to work the other day(her car was offroad in garage being fixed or else shed have pulled over and done something)and she saw a young lab pup running down the road in and out of the traffic frightened and scared and was just hit a glancing blow by a car,but got up slightly stunned and then staggered off again.she said she knew whose dog it was and that it had probably got out of the garden. why do people get dogs and then dont look after them? :(

I totally despair, firstly, that so many dogs are bred, then that so many ignorant people acquire dogs to satisfy their own ego and finally that so many of these poor creatures end up in rescue :( :(

I wish I had the power to change it all for the better.

Makes me mad. My poor sister has just lost her lovely 15 month old lab to a brain tumour :( and morons like this go out and get dogs without any thought. Try to steal the puppy and we'll give the poor thing to my sis. :- "
