I do a bit of training with my Whippet Folly, I have trained quite a few breeds over the years. I am not interested in competitions just training to enjoy things with my dogs. Now Folly is good at most things, Heelwork, ok she doesn't do the Collie head turned on to my hip but that's fine I don't want her to. Sit, Down and Stand stays, Recall etc but so far I have not got her to do a retrieve, put simply if say a soft toy is moving when I tell her to fetch she shoots out to it. But if I wait till its stationary she just acts as though its of no interest to her at all. I would really like to progress to retrieving a dumbbell but that would come after getting her to retrieve a toy properly. Obviously as its just for fun all the training I do with her is done kindly. So any suggestions you experienced people have I would be grateful for
