SUMMER
Summer is a 2 year old greyhound girl who didn’t make the grade on the track. She is a pretty little girl with a black coat that is now in beautiful condition, making her a real sleek, shiny beauty. She is a bit unusual in that she has only half a tail, an old injury resulting from an accident when she was a tiny puppy.
Summer is a truly fantastic little girl, we can’t praise her enough. She has the kind of bubbly life-loving personality that can’t help but make you smile. She is a brilliant little mood lifter. She loves to do all the things a greyhound does – sleep, eat, run and sleep, with a decent quota of cuddles in there too!
Summer is brilliant with other dogs of all sizes and has never caused any trouble. She came along with us to the annual National Pet Expo in Dublin where she was completely unfazed by the massive crowds and animals of all shapes and sizes. She loved all the attention and despite having only half a tail, she never missed an opportunity to wag it! She was a perfect poster girl for all greyhounds and helped promote their welfare.
Sadly Summer has been in a home for the past few months, but has come back to us now as her owner has developed an allergy to her. This is very sad news for everyone involved, as she was dearly loved by her family. We are now appealing for this delightful little girl to find her new forever home as soon as possible.
Summer is well used to living in a home, and is very well behaved with good house manners. She is non-destructive and ok to be left with other dogs for company. She is housetrained and sleeps through the night without a peep. Summer could fit into a range of home types. She is a happy, active girl who loves to be out and about, greeting the world, but is also happy to laze around and sleep the afternoon away. She is good with kids and adores other dogs.
This little girl is a real gem of a dog and is going to be a fantastic family member. She exudes happiness and truly enjoys life.
Summer is currently being kennelled in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up. She is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.
If you are interested in adopting Summer, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
