I have been contacted re the Summersway Whippets, bred by Mrs Helen Worsfold. Someone who has has had dogs ( now 16 years old) of her breeding is looking for a new puppy. I do not know if she is still in whippets, but believe her daughter(?) a Mrs Sylvia Doherty in the Isle of Wight may still have the line. Can anyone help?

You could try calling Maureen Blanks. I think that she still has a Summersway dog.

Helen Worsfold died several years ago, and Sylvia has now taken on the Summersway kennel name, but she is not Helen's daughter. Helen had a daughter who lives in London, but she was not involved in whippets. My first whippet was from Helen. Jackie Hawkins of Copperhawk whippets also started with Summersway, and she lives in Kent. I should think she would be the only person who has lines going back to Helen's breeding.
