Does anyone on herereact badly to the sun. every year i get wores when the suns out I can look like i have bad sunburn after 1/2 an hour outside in winter. but i ahve noticed even more this year today i put the washing out about 5 minets in the sun and my face was tingaling if i stay out any longer it goes red stay like that all day but goes overnight. It got the the stage now that I were hats all year round plus 50 block. is this normal as im getting older iv nvere tans allways were sun cream. but it not like sun burn and it goes in 24 hours aslong as i dont go out again

My youngest daughter is allergic to UVA. The worst reaction she has had was to come out in blisters all over her face (looks like scalds) and dry excema(sp) on her back and all her joints. This also make her more sensitive to anything that has fragrances in it.

She has to wear a complete block for both UVA and UVB and a hat. She has suffered from this since she was two years old and does not seem to be growing out of it.

I'm the same, Wendy.

Used to be able to go out in the sun when I was in my teens and 20s, but then started to get problems.

Now I can't go out in it at all. I just come up in a rash and if I use sun tan stuff it is worse because I seem to have become allergic to it.

Sun isn't good for you anyway ........ I work in Dermatology now and unfortunately all the sun worshipping we do when we are younger causes horrific problems when we get older.

So with the knowledge I have now, I've decided to stay pale  :D

Iv nevever been a sun bather or sun worshiper i even as a kid woul sit in the shade and have allways worn a realy strong sun block never been on a sun bed and never been abroad eather. i have very very pale skin did have aurbern hair and freakles so even mum allways keepd me out of the sun... My oldest sister was a sun worshipera and now has skin like a leather hand bag so i saw and lernt to stay away. it just seam every year it get wores.

Can I be a member of the Indoor Club? I have red (and grey) hair & freckles too. I always used to be hidden under silly hats when I was a kid. I did burn very easily but as I've got older i don't burn so much but dont get a tan either, I just turn pink :b mmm very attractive

As I spend most of the summer outside at agility shows I have an assortment of hats as too much sun makes my head thump & my eyes start watering.

Still want a nice summer tho... 8)

looks like i am going to be stuck outside looking like a short fat toad stoole with my big hats on lol anyone know any good chep sunblack that could help

Children's sunblock is good, I got a rash last May on my chest (very itchy) went to doctors he said it was a reaction to the sun!

Ive never had it before or since and it went in about 4 days!!!

Went Florida Last year and it didn't come back, no idea what caused it!

I did get some cheap factor 30 from B&M Bargains for 99p called Australian factor 30 for kids, it seemed to work for me.

Also I have read that if you gradually limit your time in the sun from a few mins upwards you can start to build up a resistance to the UV rays, but remember it has to be gradual.

Dont know if this helps but though I would share :huggles:

Hope you dont have too much of an indoor summer, like you say think of your skin
