This week Geoff went to Glos to chat with the management and groundsman about our problems with clashing with the footballers. They have been extremely helpful, re-scheduling the whole seasons morning matches to use the pitches that don't adjoin our track. This was no small undertaking as it impacted on matches played on Saturdays as well.

They are unable to do anything about the afternoon matches which will take place every week. These start at 2.30pm before the clocks go back and 2pm afterwards. But as we will not have to contend with am matches, we can get started earlier, keep trials running smartly and we should have no problem in finishing by 2.00.

To assist in this, I am asking all those who want trials to book in at the same time as their dogs that are racing. I will make a list that will be printed on the programme, and we will aim to stick to that list without being too regimental about it. That way, everyone gets the trials they have asked for, and people are ready at the traps for their trial to reduce the time spent hanging around.

Hope this meets with everyone's approval. Geoff and I suggest we try it for a month or two and review it if things don't work well.

Regards,

Lesley
