It's George on Saturday he was fine he was laying on my lap but on sunday when my son-in-law cuddled him he noticed that George had a large swelling under his jaw where our wisdom teeth would be the size of a ping pong ball. By Monday morning the swelling had gone down to a largish marble.
Yesterday it was back up to the size of a ping pong ball so I made an appointment for the vet later this week, this morning it's gone back down and is hardly noticeable. He is perfectly happy in himself playing and eating as usual.

At first I thought infection or possibly the worst case scenario but now I'm wondering about an allergic reaction. When my son was little he had an allergic reaction to something and all the glands in his face swelled up making him look like the Elephant Man..

Dogs and Children both guaranteed to give you grey hair. !

Oh goodness! My first thought was an infection but that doesnt explain why it went up and down. I hope the vets finds out whats wrong.

I hope it's nothing serious - let us know how the appointment goes please x

Gosh, that's odd the swelling coming and going like that... I wonder if it was a bite/sting or something, but usually things react then go down and stay down... Very strange! Glad to hear he seems unbothered and well in himself. Everything crossed all goes well at the vets.
