good :luck: at the vets maz

gentle :huggles: for harley

This happened to one of my dogs a few year's back. He was stung by something, never found out :(

It happened on holiday at Devon. He went to bed with a proper whippet face, and woke up with a staffie head (w00t)

He was given a jab and tablet's, he was fine a few day's later :D

Good luck at the vet

same with tilly when she was stung on her nose...

Good luck at the vets.. :luck:

Tegan had the same thing a couple of years ago OH went to work at 2ock (noon shift) and I got in at 4 oclock to find her looking like a pit bull

We went to the vets he said she had been stung by a bee or a wasp but couldn't find were he thought she had probably swolloed it .She had a couple of injections and was fine again a couple of hours later. Not that its stopped her chasing wasps though

I had a similar thing with my GSD, turned out she was allergic to something, never found out what, but she had the same thing later in life with antibiotics. Frightened the life out of me the first time!! Her whole head was swollen, so bad that I could not put the muzzle on that I usually had her wear to the vets (was not keen on the vet - she had a weird sense of humour, she let the vet examine her then as they walked away and were thinking she exploded!).

I think it is a common allergic reaction to a number of things but it does look horrific!

I am sure your dog will be back to normal soon!

Best wishes

Sue

I sound like a sting to me. Have you looked inside her mouth to see if you can see a sting?

We always keep piriton in to give them in such an event, you can buy them over the counter at the chemist but don't tell them it is for the dogs. This usually has some effect within a couple of hours if not repeat the dose but keep a close eye on them and if at all worried get to the vets.

We have a couple of dogs that have major allergic reactions to bee and wasp stings so getting them treated asap is a priority.

Good luck at the vets :luck: Get well soon Harley :huggles:

I'd say a sting too, probably a wasp been on the razzle supping on windfall apples.
