A damp and windy day with rather wet ground didn't put people off racing today. We had visitors from Devon with Pam Spikes and friend Gwen, Sam and Gill Harcombe. Dave and Lynne made it across The Bridge (despite her better judgement) and many more.
Geoff ran the lure and Alan managed the traps in his usual efficient manner.
The lightweights ran for the beautiful Aerocraft Trophy.
Heats: Bee United, Xplicit
Final: 1st Bee United ( a brilliant win, lucky Colin  ) 2nd Xplicit, 3rd Dearly Devoted, 4th Conway Tear.
The Heavyweights ran for the Carlstream Challenge Cup.
Heats: Darkling Sandfly, Junior Spikes
Final: 1st Junior Spikes, 2nd Stiglet, 3rd Darkling Sandfly, 4th The Gas
The winners of each group were then to run against each other for the presdigious Taimo Tankard, a true piece of Gloucester history, but as Pam is not a member she could not take the trophy away and so declined to race, in favour of Colin's super bitch Bee United.
Colin was 'over the moon' as he had been trying to win this lovely tankard for 40 years!
Those who were able then retired to the pub to discuss the days sport (nothing new there then!!)
Look forward to seeing you all at the AGM next week at 10.45 at the Pheasant. Would any who wishes to attend please let me know asap. Unfortunately, numbers had to be in by today for the caterer, so no food will be available to late comers
