I started feeling really ill yesterday. No fever.

I'm worse today, and I remembered I had a covid test handy so just in case I decided to use it. I opened the box and...the instructions are in Spanish. On both sides lol. Luckily I was able to look them up on line. This box had two tests and I used the other one last September, and it was positive, and I had a textbook case that time. I don't remember having Spanish instructions, so maybe I discarded the English ones? But the box says it comes with only one instruction pamphlet. I was really ill at the time and barely remember even doing the test, so who knows.

It will remain a mystery for all time.

The test is negative. I know false negatives are possible with these, but I'm relieved anyway. I must have just picked up some random virus. It's nasty.

I hope you are feeling better.

You may know this, but if you have a smartphone, you can use it to automatically translate text if you need to. If you want to know more, please shout out (then I'll tag someone more tech savvy to explain it properly lol!)

Thank you everyone. I was feeling better by Saturday, thank goodness, because I had a date for a hike with a new friend and I really didn't want to cancel. After our day together we like each other more than ever now, and are happy to each have found a new friend to hike with and have set another date, this time she's coming to hike in my neck of the woods.

We're very different, but there are some very odd similarities. I have a black cat named Queen Eva. She has a black cat named Jasmine Eva. I seem to find cat rocks (rocks that look cat shaped) every where I go in the woods, and I do sometimes still pick them up, though my house is overflowing with cat rocks now. She finds heart shaped rocks. They just appear in front of her! And yes, she has rocks in her apartment. Not as many as I have, but still...

Are you sure it's not covid? One of the symptoms is not recognising English text, believing it to be Spanish.

Sorry, couldn't help myself 🤣. @JoanneF's suggestion is a good one if you have a smartphone - show it the text and it will display it in your preferred language.
