sadly i was unable to attend due to having stmach pains this morning. however peter did go so i can post the results 4 u. a lovely sunny day with a breeze a very very poor turn out of only 34 dogs terrible for a top ten open. all i can think of is there must b a few in season/injured etc. lovely trophoes 4 all categories @ this open too. anyway results:

Yes it was a poor turn out carol, but it was well ran and what a loverly day it was the sun was a beuty but that wind was chilly though nice day well done to all the dogs that ran whether they won or lost :thumbsup:

i have to say i had a nice day in the park again haha kids (Tyne, jack and lil joe alough he hasnt any bother compared to jack and Tyne haha noisy pple) what they like :sweating: :lol:

not many dogs there today but every one seemed to have there dogs spot on there was a number of good performances a big well done to the dog winner no joe and supreme winner six :thumbsup:

great run open. Think the bad luck we've had in the last couple of opens put people off. Hopefully our luck has changed. had my heart in my mouth when Shay went down but he was just winded. I don't even watch the big dogs at the end now usually close my eyes. Only one downer and that was winning the yearlings and finding out the trophy hasn't been returned. this might not be a big thing for some people but when you have kids they like to get some thing if there dogs win.

can I just point out that Sue/Debbie thought that the supreme scratch trophy had been given to me. I just want to assure the rising sun commitee that I wasnt the one who recieved it. So if any commitee members can think back and see if they can remember being given any trophies. I know 4 a fact it definitly wasnt me as I did get the Mickey Whizz one back and that was all. So if everyone just has a think of wots happened to the missing trophies we might eventually find them. If not then we will have to c about replacing them and maybe have some kind of trophy officer if u like someone who takes back all trophies and signs something etc

doriva looking unbeatable in the vets .

shay looking vey sharp,pity he was pulled out after getting a knock at the pick up.would of loved to see trevs in form, go2 and shay in the run off. flying, freddie melody could not handle go2 in the supreme scratch some bitch.

well done the workers well run open.

thought it would be a poor turn out, with the red mills next week, open down south sunday. and some folks saving there dogs for the derby+price of fuel.

never the less a nice afternoon out. :thumbsup:

The yearling trophy won by hot rocks (2008) wasn't returned as far as i am aware. It was given out last year after having been won by game on the year before (2007).

It doesnt say that the yearling trophy was returned.
