Hi All

For all those interested this Programme on BBC1 is worth a look.

Noel Fitzpatrick uses pioneering techniques to save pet lives.

Rob...

Thanks Rob. I'll watch that one. In the Radio Times it says...."Tonight's patients include cat Oscar who had a run-in with a combine harvester." Ouch!!!!

Such a caring man, I thought what he did was amazing.

I think I am about to be a bit controversial..not like me a bit!! yes I watched the programme with absolute fascination and was awed and amazed by his wonderful attitude, skill and enterprise. However, a little bit of me was wondering whether some of the work was truly for the dog's/cat's benefit or just their doting owners. or even..[sorry].. another bit of kudos for the vet. That sounds mean spirited, but you know how I dote on my dogs and there is NO WAY I would put any of them through so much stress and pain, for what result? Why did he do all that work on the lab's hind foot, when the rest of his body was wracked with arthritis and bound to cause him so much pain in other joints. Coming from a medical standpoint I found it absolutely gripping, but also rather disturbing... we shall have to see what else he has in store for us!
