Hello all, I just wanted to let you know how my beautiful little blue girl Feather a.k.a The Blue Flyer went in her racing debut.....SHE WON!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I'm so proud of her, she's the smallest dog racing in the club at present, weighing only 9.2kg. this is tiny by Australian standards. Her first race was a sprint. She was up against 2 others which we refer to as race bred whippets generally meaning they have a touch of Greyhound in them (mine are all pedigrees). Both weighing around 14kg.

She drew the outside box but burst out & had them by the corner where she just flew 'round the outside & won by about 3 lenghts.

It was our end of year Gala Day & not our normal type of comp in the distance races. Feather & her mum Kibah (Pocket Rocket) were in the calcutta together with 4 others. It was a straight start (not handicapped) & again she got out first & by the first turn was about 3 lengths in front. She won by about 6 lengths. Kibah ran 4th but she also won her sprint.

Penny my big fawn parti (Little Savage) didn't do too well but she had lots of fun which for me is the main thing. She always runs best in April/May of every year. I'm looking forward to next years racing!

Linda & the fab fast furs :c :D

Thankyou BeeJay :) I shall pass on your congratulations to Feather by way of kisses & cuddles. Will that do or do you think I should also give her some smoked salmon or something? :p Any excuse to spoil them.

Linda
