Right Iv had Lots now for 4wks yesterday and she's still crying at night and in the mornin as soon as she hears one of from upstaires.

Theryr are shut in the kitchen via a Lindam Dog gate.

And the same when I shut them in there in the day too. But she doesnt just wimper its a full on yelpin cry, like someones in there slowly choppin her tail off or something.

She even got her bottom jaw caught in the bars the other day, the silly wolly.

Iv always done the ignor thing at night they just get put in there (Arch noes to just go there) I shut the gate and go off to bed, no chattin to um and in the morning and I just open the gate and we get on gettin ready and ignor them.

The thing is I live next door to Cruellas devilles, evil devil sister. She a totally nasty moanin old nasty complete and utter bully. She even had the cheek to phone the RSPCA on me reporting that she's seen me beatin my Dog and he's never let out in the garden :(

The officer came round and and in her she said "I cant stand people that waist our time. We have better things to be dealing with"

Oh and then 2 weeks later I had the council round sayin that the Dog was always out in the garden in all weathers and never let in. Huuhhhhh, well get that one!!!???.

She's tried every thing. Even the council have told me they'v been to her house and lisend (to nothing!!) and have dropped her case and are not following up on her moans any more cos she's a total time waister.......

But anyways......... Im scaired now cos Lotti is really bloody annoyin with her crying. I'll be soo upset if the council say she has to go cos otherwise she is an amazing gorgeous and lovely dog

I REALLY REALLY need advice on how to help stop her crying.

does she have anything to distract her? maybe a kong or bone when you put her away for the night. some dogs find it soothing (and it helps mask other noises, such as someone moving about upstairs etc) to have a radio quietly playing. at a loss really here :(

If it's a case of having to rehome her because of the noise or letting her sleep in a crate in your bedroom, then there's no contest IMO.

At least you and your "oh so friendly" neighbour would be able to sleep uninterrupted

I have never shut mine away and they have free run of the house at night time so I'm not really in a position to advise but I hope you can resolve the problem soon so that everyone is happy :)

I have the same problem. My new puppy screams the place down if he is caged. I too have the neighbor

from hell so cant afford to make too much noise as we have 10 dogs. Im afraid I take the easy option at bedtime

and do what I have done with all the others, stick him under the duvet with us. Not the best solution but he sleeps all

night and so do I. As he gets older I am hoping he will decide its nicer to sleep with the rest of the gang. It worked

with them. Good luck.

Oh I get what u mean Jinny but I dont do Dogs upstairs, LoL. The cats have my upstairs of the house. She went upstairs for the 1st time the wkend and pood and peed straight away on my daughters bedrm floor and books.

I have got a huge Crate, that would fit like two Archeys init. It wouldnt fit in my bedroom.

I never used to shut Arch in just the kitchen over night, he used to have the downstaires, just since we got Lotti cos her toilet/paper trainin aint 100% yet n dont want her doin "that" where me little boy has to play.

Think Im gona have to invest in a Kong cos I never thought of that.

Think I'll see what she thinks of the Crate in my living rm 2night.

A worn T-shirt or jumper with your smell on it to snuggle up with might help her settle, you could also try leaving the radio on quietly and/or a night light, some pups are worried by the dark.

all my pus have slept in with me until they are 6months, then i move then into a crate with one of y older girl...usually Maddie as shes the most tolerant of naughty pups

i always crate them all (except grace) when im out as all hell would break loose otherwise

Practice getting her used to the cage - cover it with a blanket, make it cosy and feed all her meals and treats in it. She may feel more secure in it. One of my dogs gets very upset if he is not in his at night - he paces up and down whinging, getting louder and louder. No amount of telling off or ingoring it will stop him but as soon as he is in his cage he lies down and goes to sleep.

Hope you get sorted out. She looks a lovely pup.

Put her in a crate in the kitchen, lay a duvet on the floor turn the lights off and you lay down next to the crate with your fingers/hand on the crate the pup will sniff you and may whine just keep telling her to be quite and she will go to sleep quicker than you think, she will feel safe with you there, once asleep you can go to bed, a week of this and you will have a happy reassured pup i have used this method for my 5 with perfect results

Oh well Im hoping that wasnt just begginers luck, I put a jumper in with her that Id put on for afew hours b4 and not a sound.

I layed in bed listening out for about 1/2 hour thinking "Oh it'll start in a minute"

And not a nouise evn this mornin. My boy woke up at like 5:45am screamin at me to get in bed with me and I just instatntly thought "Oh well here we go" thinkin Lots is gona start up but she never. Now Im definatly thinkin that was pure luck cos ud need a full scale brass band to drown out my boys mornin cry's, shouts and growls.

If only Id have realised it was that easy. Well Im bloomin prayin now that it was just that easy.

We'll see tonight now. Here's to hoping ay :)

Oh well just to let u all know Lotti went to bed like a good girl again last night. She did start yelpin this morninbut it wasnt until she herd me talk at about half 8 and not at the very 1st noise she heard, normally my 18month old son shoutin to get up at 6.

So Im gona wash n re-ware the jumper today to "Stock up the Stink" again, LoL
