The lack of comments so far is odd and no book yet from C/M ?

2 top dogs not running ?

Greeny i have spent the last month or so very mixed up by your "be scared" post[ i will confess i even looked the word up in the dictionary and it was not listed ]

I have just checked in the kids dictionary and sure enough its in yet i still dont understand.

At this point i must point out that my first look was in the old Lincolnshire Dictionary so words like scared would not be listed.

See you all Sat for some good crack and even better coursing.

Regards Clive.

I'll be there, Clive.........is Panda running???

I spoke to B.B. last night....but didn't get all the draw.....just reassured myself that Cracker's in......5th course red collar.

In sport GREENY

Greeny. Its the big NO for Panda also missing is Trenthyde Florence.

The Chief is in 4th in white so lets just hope we do get to run against each other.

We run with the Saucy Madam so if lampy hands me some fish i will give him some sprouts for good look.

Do the Saversnake dogs run with you up north ?

Regards Clive.

Hi Greeny. Yes you're up against Banatay Bollinger. Saucey Madam beat her twice last season but could only manage a close runner up to her , this season. Shes a different bitch this season having won 3 stakes good speed and bags of stamina. The Madam is up against CCS'S ' Appache Chief, a tough draw but at this level no one has got an easy draw. Vic is alresdy sorting out which paints he will need. He's selected shades of brown, a touch of black and a little white.

Forever the optimist

Lamping man

CCS. I think you've got it wrong. You should be looking for " be spared " as in be spared the feeling that an early exit gives you!! If Saturday brings no frost or rain we will see Saucey Madam in the fast lane (poetic yeh??)

He never gives in

Yes they do Clive S. Tias Babycham, racing name RedWind was made up to Racing Champion this summer. She has been in Canada (family emigrated) and so has no recent coursing form, but won some stakes a couple of seasons ago...if she's fit (and I think she will be), she is a serious contender.

Pity about Panda, she must be one of the top in the country. I am not sure how Carolines' health is....you probably know that she has been very ill. Last time I saw Panda course (Nov. I think) she won the stake....Caroline was in a 4x4 on a track some distance away from the line, and down hill from us, after taking the hare up the hill, and coursing for some time, Panda ran the hare down the hill and right past Caroline, within a few yards of her...I like to think that she did it on purpose, and often think about it......sentimental old git that I am.

In sport GREENY......can't get the green colour to work on this forum.

Last I heard Redwind was just out of season so lets not put too much pressure on her! :b

Regards,

Scott.

Greeny .. Ring your club sec. for an update on the above.

Regards Clive.

How in the hell can Panda be running when Caroline died just before Christmas.

Scott....Clive means the sec. of the E of E to tell me the very sad news which BJ imparted so delicately in her post.

This is very sad news......she was a true lady and a stalwart of the whippet breed, I am honoured to have known her....condolences to Terrence.

That means that the course which I described above was probably the last which Panda ran for Caroline....even more poignant.

Apologies, I didn't know the lady or the news.

Tsch Scott. :) You should read ALL of the forums and not be so selective. If you had read the showing forum there was a topic on it about Caroline's death.

She died from liver failure in hospital on the 17th December. She had suffered badly for years from arthritis. She believed that being knocked over by a deerhound had caused the onset of the problem. Despite the arthritis Caroline coursed either her whippets or deerhounds every week during the season. Coursing was her first love with showing firmly in second place. She was extremely successful in both areas.
