Oh that's so sad - I am sorry to hear your news.

I used to go watch Coventry play at Highfield Road, I went in the VIP bar in the East stand one year - it was much more fun watching whilst sipping champagne!

So sorry to hear about your friends Dad. Hope the motorways treat you kindly!!!!

ok banana looks posh, saying that jenni you look very posh :* motorways are ok for me but you just neve know when its your turn to be involved really .

I am 'just' posh and Jenni is 'very' posh???

You can go off people quickly you know! :p

I quite like motorway driving - I like to drive fast whilst listening to music and singing along!! :)

to be honest i dont drive fast now, i did have my sports car days xr3i, but i loved my xr2, faster off the blocks than a xr3, could afford a golf gti lol. i did have a ford cosworth sierra but only for a month or two, too fast to dangerous. banana slow down hun dont wanna lose you :*

Oh I had a boyfriend with an XR31 and then an XR2..

I preferred the boyfriends with convertibles really!

I got caught speeding twice in one week - ended up with 6 points so I have an enforced slow down now!

it's always so sad to do the inevitable trek across the country for a funeral isn't it? I don't know how other people manage it, but I just can't go to wakes. If I cared about the person who has died I can't turn my emotions around enough to be sociable with other people, and eating is out of the question, so I make the huge trek (my closest family is 100 miles away) and have to keep myself together to drive, since my OH doesn't drive, to be there for just an hour or so for the ceremony, then to get myself focused to drive back safely.

You have my sympathies lurcherman- that's a huge drive.

thanx eingana, ive got to do it, he spoke at my dads funeral and the things he said hit the spot, i also worked with him for 21 yrs, i drink with his son , got into trouble with his son, played darts with his son, so just seems the 800 round trip seems right. so unless the roads are real bad then im going, thanx .
