I could be way behind the times here and the last person to discover Furminator de-shedding combs, but OMG this is the best £20 I have ever spent, I have filled the bin in the last couple of hours with hair from my two boys it's amazing how much comes out! It's my new favourite thing in the whole world!!!

I haven't tried it myself but have heard just how amazing it is!

someone once reprimanded me in the street for shaving my dog, and then making him wear a 'stupid' coat. Haha!

Always wanted a go on a furminator, after seeing the adverts, looks very satisfying!

I keep dithering about getting one for my 2!

Just be careful as it's very easy to get carried away with it.

It is after all a blade! :)

I used to use an old 30 blade, I now have a furminator, I love it,I use it every day :)

I got one a few years ago after hearing about it through another Lab owner, I laughed so much when i first used it as i thought i would end up with bald dogs, it just kept on coming out.

Thing with the Furminator is that its great on dogs with under coat and will remove loose top coat but i always finish off with a zoom groom, which is like a rubber brush with thick finger like prongs which because of the rubber it drags the coat off. Iv'e got the envious situation of having 4 Labs all shedding at the same time here, I've been brushing them now for about 3 weeks and still it comes out lol, maybe i will end up with hairless Chinese crested dogs at the end of it.

I know a few people who don't like Furminators on long haired GSDs because they say that it damages the topcoat too much but I swear by them for Molly. We use only 3 grooming tools- a very coarse big comb for getting right through the coat to remove knots from close to the skin, a Furminator to fetch out huge amounts of undercoat and a slicker to finish it all off.
