I am happy to announce that October sees the start of The Lancashire PWRC, formed by good friends with a mutual love of whippet racing, aiming to encourage likeminded people to enter the sport as it is intended, to let their dogs do what they do best, run.

 

You will find only friendliness and encouragement at the club with experienced assistance on hand at all times for those new & old to the sport, from puppy to adulthood.

 

A huge welcome is given to all KC Registered dogs from all backgrounds Racing/showing/working or pet for racing/trailing.

 

Wherever possible we will try to accommodate non KC Registered dogs so they may join in the joy of racing.

Thanks Judy, at present we have been offered 2 venues and are in the process of deciding which one would be best suited to the needs of the members and their dogs,both have toilet facilities which is a must for the ladies,the last thing you want is crouching behind a bush with a handful of whippets :wacko: don't suppose the men will be much bothered either way :lol:

Yes we will be affiliated and as soon as we have decided which venue I will let you know :thumbsup:

We've recieved a lot of support from racers around the country to set this club up and i'd like to thank them all.

we've now got all the equipment ready and as soon as a decission is made which venue to use we'll start trialling/racing.

As Lesleys said both venues have toilets, 1 has showers/club house both councils have agreed we can use the venues so we just have to weigh up which would best suit our needs for the future not just the short term.

For those that have been asking the membership fee is £15 racing/trialling £1 per dog.
