Have been in contact with one other person regarding this,as i did'nt want to say too much, till i knew what the outcome was gona be.But after a couple of trip's of over 150 mile's,and many xray's,this is what i brought home with me today.I wont go into detail as to what Pyper was doing,or after at the time, but it was a bit more agile, and cleared what he obviously did'nt.He would not have been getting the run that ended in this,if he had'nt caught me off guard, and left me on the ground with my face in the mud,and a bit of weight holding it there.Anyway,it was touch & go whether he would be coming home at all,as this was a nasty one, with both bone's broken.I wont go through the the thing's i seen today in the surgery, but my stomach is still not right.I thought i had seen it all,but ive a long ,long way to go.This dog should not be alive tonight. But through perserverence, the job was done.Hopefully,he will run again. But not on animal or plastic bag.As long as he can wag his little short tail at me,every time he see's me,like he did today, just as the parting of the way needle was about to be administered, then that will do for me.Next few week's will be awkward, getting him out n in to empty, but should he need carried then it will be done.I carried him 2 mile's + on friday night, back to the van,so 10 yard's should'nt be that hard.John was just asking me what i had for racing this season.Well can i just say .1 LESS JOHN.

And then there was one.

If i have even half the gameness in any of my 16 week old pup's,as this boy was showing me at 16 month's,then that'll do for me.Now im off to get him emptied, and then hopefully the 1st few hour's kip, since friday night.

billy maybe its just me but im lost here. what exactly did happen here, were you lamping or running them all at once causing a collision.

maybe its nightshift having an effect on me but im baffled

was the leg broken, muscle damage ? hope he recovers well enough to race for you .

Take Pyper back to the vet's tomorrow morning,to have the cast changed, and the leg xrayed again,to make sure everthing is ok with it.It's been a long 2 week's,with having to take him in and out all the time to empty, and also make sure he don't go crazy at the pet bunnie's ,or next door's cat's.He wont empty whilst on the lead,so has to be set free each and every time.In saying that,he has'nt fouled or pissed in the house once,so we've been doing ok with him.Made one mistake though,of forgetting to put his muzzle back on after feeding time, and when it was discovered,he was chewing at the top of his plastercast. It will be quite some time before we know how much of a success the opperation was.Hopefully 100%,as he was one hell of dog,in the field, and in the ring.In 7 show's as a pup,he was puppy champion 4 time's,+reserve twice.I am hoping he can carry on where he left off,as he's a crackin looking power house of a dog, now that he has matured. This was him in the middle,on his 1st birthday,a few month's ago.
