This probably sounds a ridiculous question but I have just been given a trolley(It was a birthday present) for transporting my bits and bobs from car to bench and vice versa. It looks quite big to me and I am wondering if it is too big to go under my bench. I don't really want to bring my toolkit and start dismantling it (w00t) so I just wondered if anyone else has a trolley, how big is it and does it go under your bench. I've just got this notion of it not fitting under the bench and then me not knowing what to do with it for the rest of the day and it didn't help when my youngest son said it was more like a flatbed lorry than a trolley and does it have reversing lights and was I giving anyone else a lift.

crikey jenny it sounds like a tank not a trolley! (w00t) ive got one that folds down and has wheels on and tbh i used to leave it set up in front of my bench most of the time so i could use it for grooming :- " it also serves as a deterrant for childrens little prying hands who are walking past and want to pet your dog ;)

Could you pick up Mark, myself and Berry ( and all our luggage) please! (w00t) Maybe you could hire it out, get one of the bigger breeds to pull it!

The benches are approx a foot, possibly more by a few inches, from the ground.

Hope this helps

oh no Jenny, now I've got something else to worry about!! :sweating:

I'm there on Thursday, I'll try to remember to have a little measure up of the benches, then I can post on here that evening and we can all check our crates and trolleys before we set off on Sunday

If anyone else has anything they'd like me to measure/check before Sunday, please let me know :- "

Don't forget Doris the benches by the Whippet rings 19/20? the widths could well be changed to suit each breed on each day.

its ok, I'll be a bit canny and look around for whippet sized dogs, then sneak over with my rolled up tape measure and see how big their benches are

I'm sure I won't look crazy at all :- " Just my normal 'mad dog lady' look

Im going thursday Alison, hope to see you x

Not sure wther you are aware Jenny , but there is a good flight of stairs you need to go up to get into hall 4 (w00t)

Isn't the ramp just for going down though? particularly for those obnoxious kids with wheelies? o:) :clown: o:) :p :p

OMG, I must be going a bit mad

I've been watching whippets at crufts for years, this is about my 12th or 13th time, and I can't even remember a ramp

Great!! something else to fret about :sweating:

Lucky I'm planning to get there before the crowds or I'd never get my trolley through the halls

Make sure you don't over sleep Jenny -_-

This information is for Doris to take with her on Thursday when investigating space under benches. It is the specifications of my new go faster trolley. Did I mention the colour, it's ORANGE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our New 'dog show' trolley.

Our new dog show trolley is just the ticket for shows. Having dragged small wheel trailers like ploughs through fields of bottomless mud, and had them collapse on us we knew there had to be a better way.

And this trolley is strong enough to shift the fridge when you decide to move it into your bedroom on a whim.

The big wheels mean you wont get bogged down and being pneumatic your dogs get a smooth ride.

And rounded corners to the frame mean that you don’t remove peoples ankles when negotiating a particularly difficult 3 point turn in the car park. And the steering axle means that this big trolley manoeuvres like a mini.

The mesh carrying platform means that small objects won’t fall through gaps.

All in all, we are proud of our new baby.

Giant platform 101cm x 54cm (40” x 21”)

Safety engineered rounded frame!!

Small mesh base with 25 x 25 tubular steel frame – your cages won’t fall through the gaps on cheap frame models

Extreme carrying capacity 450 kgs ( that’s 3 x St. Bernards)

Big fat “ Tony” pneumatic tyres (21cm) for X country performance

Platform 32cm high

Easy self assembly, tools included

Proper steering axle at front

Detachable wheels and pull handle for easy transit

Weight 16 kgs ( 36lbs)

Don't forget the KC rule that trolleys must not exceed the size of you total bench width, if you have got three or more benches you will be OK but one will not be wide enough.

Do the benches have to be consecutive or can you have one in Hall 4 and two in Hall 1.
