I would just like to inform racers that contrary to what they may have heard about this weekend event at Thurrock being cancelled it is only a figment of somebody's imagination and that the club members are working hard for this week-end to be successful and can do without false rumours being started.

As stated in the Whippet News races who travel down will be made very welcome as anybody who has travelled to opens at the club in the past will tell you.

Hope to see you at the week-end and if you are camping would you please let me know so arrangements can be made regarding bar staff etc., (the burger man said he is willing to do cooked breakfasts if he knows in good time).

If you remember we used to get the same thing before a big event Sheila. Weve been out and about with our dogs and Im glad to say we have heard no rumours at all about your weekend being cancelled, I wouldn't worry to much.

Must be a Southern thing as we aint heard owt ----only about Astley miners and theres a few miles between them -- but i think Vicky is right if you cant do it properly dont do it at all ---steve

i would just like to say a thank you to the members who are getting everything ready for the weekend i know its going to be a good one with the things that are being put on for racers and there familys and the area has some good shoping for you girls as sheila has said you got thurrock shoping center and bluewater and the sports centre for swimming i do hope we get a good turnout as a lot of work ha gone into this, and there will be a a dog show on the sunday so what you lot waiting for get packing and get down here, you know it make's sense.lol :cheers:

Sorry to be nosy, but is this a racing event near Thurrock happening this coming weekend?

Do you have any more details as I would love to come along and have a look?

cud be a gud weekend mite have to tag along!!
