We are having a problem with ticks. One of our dogs regularly comes in from the garden with a tick. For some reason she is the only one they seem to like, none of the others have had one.

Does anyone have any advice, we know how to get them off but we wondered if anyone has experience of anything to prevent them. We have never had a tick problem before until we moved recently and we suspect that hedgehogs frequent the garden at night. Does anyone know of any spray that is safe on whippets?

Frontline works, but if you look in FAQ, there is some good advice there

IN certain parts of NI there is a high tick population. And we have found Advantix will keep the ticks away for longer than most other products.

Hope this helps

A safer way to repel ticks is to give your dog brewers yeast pills(vitamin B complex) & garlic.
