Well we always want the sun to shine, but we were all melting today :sweating: 8)

We ran Lightweight, Heavyweight and Veteran groups. It was lovely to welcome Sara and Andy Eaton again, and Stef and Douggie Hood - thanks Douggie for helping out with the lure  Mark and Lesley had it sorted with their caravan parked up, and sited next to the tree which provided the only bit of shade  As usual Mark was looking after everyone, offering tea coffee and stronger drinks :teehee:

It should be mentioned that a VIP at Gloucester (Judy Booker) has a BIG birthday coming up on Tuesday, so we had a huge chocolate cake, which was brought by a very organised Lesley Harris - and napkins for our snouts too!! :-

It goes without saying these days, that we retired to the Greyhound pub (very apt name) to mull over the correspondence from the WCRA, and to eat drink and be merry - which we were! :D We had a lovely day, with some very lovely people. See you all at Oxford next week :teehee:

Well done Dexter. It was great seeing him having turned into a race dog. I'm sure that he'll clear next week or whenever you want him to Lou. He is going so well. Having looked at his collar I just don't know what I'm going to choose for Stiggy Wiggy's. But Dexters is lovely. hhmmm maybe a green one (same design as D's with amber and topaz crystals for Stiggy). Can't have the same as D's. :)

It was a melting heat today. Just had to retire to the pub for a cooling pint of Stella. Letter from the WCRA what letter is that then June.

Lovely to see Steve and Betty today. Great watching Sam have a little run behind the lure. He so enjoyed it and wanted to run again.

Had a great day and the cake was scrummy. Had to eat a bit quick before all my teeth fall out :D Don't think there was enough room for the candles Tracey. :sweating: Watch out though. YOUR TIME WILL COME!

Thank you once again lovely Gloucester for a relaxed friendly meeting  . We stayed at Briafields Campsite a mile or so down the way and made our way to racing Sunday morn and managed to secure" the tree", the shade was perfect :D though seeing all our very red friends, the least we could do was offer refeshments and a share of the tree 8) ........oh and just to say...Judy's birthday cake was HUGE (w00t) and more than ample to fit ALL THOSE CANDLES on.......... but with such hot weather we didn't want to cause a false alarm to the local fire brigade ;)
