I went to see the new GP today and what a relife. he new about scoliosis harrington rods was supprised how big my rod and fusino was has changed my medication to patches wants to do blood test for rumation athrits aswell as i have had swollen wrist for months now. he allso said if i want to try for DLA he will back me 100% . I go back next week for anothe check up its the fisr DR in years I feel actuly gives a dam. and allso he said the same as iv said for years I dont have ashma i have reduced lung capasity cos of the scoliosis so i was right. he said i have to watch for chest infcetiojn and stuff as they can hit me harder wich they aqllways do but daliy i shouldnt need puffers as iv took all sensible precation ( no carpets air purifirs etc). I wont do my DLA clame till i fined out about athritis or whats wrong with my wrist aswell as everything else and other than ibuprofen no other tablets to take just a patch once a week aslong as I am ok on them brill

Theres a litle addised bounus with this GP hes young and very good looking which does help having somthing pleasant to look at lol. I dont ahve to kill Tony this time for going behined my back aslong as he dosnt do it again lol

I think you should wait for all of those diagnoses first and then deffo do your claim for DLA (and PM if you need help)!

As you say, GPs who care are few and far between these days (although the government must take alot of blame for that!!)

tony and the GP might not be in the clear if these new pain meds dont start working soon. he took me of my main pain killer left me for 24 hours on my back up ones and aunty inflamatorys perminantly as it take 3 days for these patches to work properly so i am now climing the walls as nothing working proprly i hope t does soon cos were suppsed to be going away in 2 weeks time to scotland and at the momnet i wont even make it there nere mined stay for 12 days. just hoping the next few days passis quick

Glad the new GP is being helpful. Sorry to hear that your pain is worse though. The acupressure points are between the webbing in between your thumb and first finger, try squeezing for a minute or two, it can really help. There should be a diagram on line for the points. Hugs Juleyx
 
So pleased to hear that your new GP is caring (and good looking!!). It really does make a difference when you trust your GP and you feel he listens to you. :thumbsup:
