Hi All

With the imminent arrival of the puppy whip I was wondering when you you start training for show - so you start straight away?? Do you wait a few weeks? Whats the best to do to get the best out of puppy???

All I want to do at the moment is go visit and cuddle him lots!

Thanks

Liz

Bet you can't wait for the arrival of your pup!

Two of my girls arrived at 8 weeks and i started straight away. With Ruby (who is now 11 weeks) i spend a couple of minutes every day stacking her up. Never for very long as i don't want her to hate it or get bored. She always gets some tasty treats, so she quite likes doing it! :) She is able to go out next week, so i'll be starting ringcraft with her then.

I started ringcraft with Chloe when she was about 20 weeks. When i started showing her at 6 months we hadn't had nearly enough practise - she was a right monkey

Keep sessions short and sweet and make them enjoyable, like you would with all training.
