What is the difference twixt the two ?

10-11 caravans recently left the field where we train our whippets-some pictured*

After they had gone we found a terrible mess! not at all positive :x

Over flowing bin bags, dirty nappies, an entire wagon load of felled trees- etc etc.....

Now It may not have been them that left the mess-It could well have been someone else-Mmmmmm.

On a positive note-We know some 'true' travellers-salt of the earth types-and you can't knock David Essex and Joe Longthorne -Lol 8) ;)

They tend to appear here every year, and leave nothing but disgusting waste - human faeces, spent nappies, rubbish sacks by the lorry load, and our council (and us, as tax payers) pay to have it all cleared up after them.

I wouldn't mind if they were clean & put their crap in a bin, but no, they leave it on purpose as if to leave a statement.

Plus, our local crime goes up, with all the thieving etc - course, you can't blame it on them as they just happen to be in the area.

Make me heave, the filthy sponging b'stards.

Check out their tax discs on their transits - and the law move 'em on, and don't take any action because they're frightened of all the 'rights' etc.

I wouldn't mind if they were clean & put their crap in a bin, but no, they leave it on purpose as if to leave a statement.Saw a classic example of this at Shepton Mallet They told some poor woman that if she didnt like it to put it in the bin herself . Very ashamed of myself on this occasion ,as I said nothing ! felt after that I should have .

i get on with the ones that have settled down, but a load of irish ones moved onto their site 4 years ago and played holy hell in the town, had my whippet bitch away as well, offered them £500 for her back no questions asked but they told me they had sold her on, this lot would pinch anything. Real messy, having fires all the time where they are burning the plastic off cables, fire wont go in unless police presence!!!

we had some up in a field just outside our town.....the mess the place was in was a disgrace.....someone we know had a plot of land right over the road from them...they waited until the police had them removed before building his house........when they were moved on the mess they left behind was disgusting.....and they wonder why they have a bad name !!!!

These story's sound the same as how they behaved here last summer.

And i had the added worry of two of the young lads following me down

on to the beach twice asking me to sell them one my whippets. Was

scared to go home the second time in case they followed me and saw

where i lived

The very reason why we have two rather large GSDs, having had very many bad experiences with this community I can tell you a story or 40 would rather not have the bother. Somehow they don't wanna cross the line with our big guys!
