hi all can anyone tell me why when i went to buy tripe from my local supplier it said on the box working dogs only not for pet use it's not on the beef or chicken. many thanks. Daz

I've noticed that when I looked at it recently...

From what I've been told its got something to do with the protein content...its supposed to be higher than the chicken and beef?????

But alot of the dry whole foods have a higher protein content than the tripe...so I don't understand??????

Can anybody else explain????

They put that on it so it stay's VAT free, nothing to do with protein!!

Really??? I know certain product bought in bulk is VAT free cos its done in Costco but tripe???

Working dog, greyhounds have VAT free food, not sure why :- "

I feed tripe to my Iggies and they are not exactly working dogs :- "

Definately to do with have a zero VAT rating like all Greyhound foods

It is VAT free, a godsend on a annual expenditure.Good eh ?

Redmills can also be bought VAT free, your dogs hunt rabbits and rats ?? dont they :- "

Save some money !!

Mike

Well I've learnt something new today...and I might just have to take advantage of it (w00t)
