sadieandco  if these greyhound sized dogs were doing greyhound grading time it would be a waste off time turning up, because they would be 10 + yards behind the winning dog, and regarding size or breed, i have seen plenty off big pure greyhounds that run rubbish times and cant even grade on.
Sorry a bit confused with your reply - if the dogs were doing grading time it would be a waste of time who turning up (and where?) ?? not sure if you mean they would be 10 yards behind if running with greyhounds(but if they have done grading time and in 'graded' races they shouldnt be 10 behind)or the no limiters would be 10 behind if they were doing these times and yes i too know that not all greyhounds can do the grading in times!! I was only stating my opinion that these dogs are greyhound size so not surprising that they can do the greyhound grading times !!

 now back to work its not good pc bein down at home i have to catch up on k9 at work and thats so NOT like me :- "

Lets hope they don't have a key stoke recorder on the PC at work :- " ...lol

you may be in trouble , some firms are quite funny about using there time for personal Internet usage during office hours (w00t)

I to did not understand jaspers post ...most of our no limits are doing more than the average grading times ..if there not they wouldn't win a thing in our no limit classes

Still no one knows easingtons sprint track record ?

SADIEANDCO ALL I MENT WAS IF YOU RACE A NONE PED NO LIMIT, IT WOULD BE NO GOOD EXPECTING TO DO ANY GOOD IF YOUR DOG WAS ONLY DOING GRADING TIMES.... AND THERE IS A MASSIVE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN 14.70 AND WHAT MY 15 MONTH DOG DID ON HIS 1ST TRY AT EASINGTON..

MOST MATURE NO LIMITS WILL NOT GET ANYWHERE NEAR THIS .

EVERY BODY KNOWS DEANSIDE BELL IS THE VERY BEST BEND NOLIMIT DOG IN THE COUNTRY, LAST YEAR HE WON THE SAME RACE AS MY DOG ON SATURDAY, YEARLING SC... HE WAS ON A TRACK THAT HE HAD TRAINED ON WHEN COLIN WAS SCHOOLING HIM, HE WAS 6 WEEKS OLDER THAN MY DOG ON SATURDAY, YET IF YOU CHECK HIS WINNING TIME FROM LAST YEAR YOU WILL SEE HE DID 14.50. TAKE AWAY THE 20 SPOTS FOR THE SLIGHT ALTERING OFF THE TRACK AND YOU ARE LEFT WITH 14.30. OR THERE ABOUTS,. SO IF YOU TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT, THEN 14.03 STARTS TO SOUND A BIT SPECIAL.. AND IS DEFINATLEY NOT EXPECTED OFF. AND YOU HAVE TO BE VERY VERY LUCKY TO PICK A PUP OFF THIS STATURE....THANK YOU.

I agree maurice.....we are over the moon that Ty was only a yard behind your dog and did an astonishingly good time for a yearling..........we too are over the moon that geoff gave us the fantastic opportunity to run such a gifted scratch dog.................think we will let ty do the talking tho :- "

well nikki was wayyyyyyy behind but hey her time must have still been ok lol

yea rob you are right, we will leave it to the dogs eh.

I did agree on the dogs performance Maurice on my first post :D

Not knocking this dog great time for a youngster but we shouldnt be too surprised at these dogs doing greyhound grading times as they are greyhound size :- "

And having raced whippets and greyhounds all my life agree its great to get a dog that we think is something special - but then all mine are special to me decent or not ;) and as for expecting of our dogs i think best not to expect and then when they run well for us its a bonus :D

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :)

Could not have answered any fairer than that ----

no one could or should be upset by the statement

quite the contrary if this had been said about mine i would be well pleased

steve

Once you start to bring times into how good a dog is then you must run the same day on the same track with the same person timing and a host of other things/was the track rolled etc-- was there any bumping who had the red box its like trying to compare any other heavyweight boxer with Mohamed Ali --just is not feasible and a farce-- even with the same person timing they can be fast or slow with it--

Thanks for being fantastic owners  there's going to be some good racing from all 3 of these dogs, its a pity Nicki missed the lids.

YOU ARE DEAD RIGHT STEVE, I COULD GO BACK THIS WEEK AND MY DOG MAY RUN 40 SPOTS SLOWER, IT IS ON THE DAY,

SADIEANDCO YOU ARE ALSO RIGHT, I TO DONT EXPECT ANYTHING FROM MY DOGS, IF THEY DO WELL, THEN IT IS A BONUS, SINCE UPTOWN GIRL, I HAVE RACED TWO MIDDLE CLASS DOGS, BUT I KEPT RETURNING EACH SEASON, JUST TO SEE MY DOGS RUN, ONLY WINNING ONE BEND TITLE IN 4 SEASONS ON THE BENDS, IF ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS WIN, THEN I WOULD HAVE PACKED IN WHEN MY UPTOWN GIRL RETIRED. WHO IS 11 ON BOXING DAY,.... TO ME A WIN IS A BONUS ,NOTHING ELSE...

AND I LOVE MY DOGS JUST AS MUCH AS ANYBODY ELSE LOVES THERES...I LOVE THE SC RACING, AND MY YOUNGSTER, MURPHY, IS A BREATH OFF FRESH AIR, AFTER 4 QUIET SEASONS. ANY WAY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL, AND HAVE A GOOD UN....MAUR.

Nikki did fab carole.................am sure she is doing way faster each time she runs.........trouble for anyone racing is that sometimes you get a really special dog (like andrew) and it's hard........even with a good dog to beat them! Think that's where our own personal goals.i.e. getting our own dogs to do the best they can is enough. ( and to come off sound :D )

I quite like fiddling around with diets, training regimes etc ( for the dogs i mean :b ) and seeing what a difference it makes. We decided to try 'barf' diet with dogs............and ty seems to thrive on it (w00t) Am sick of cutting veg up tho!!

I'm looking forward to the straight and bends season ahead.
