ive been speaking to the pound today and they are having a problem homing a beautifull weimeraner cross female .

she has a fantastic nature and is stunning looking , looks just like the weimeraner is shape etc but is a bit smaller and steel grey .

The problem with her is SHE IS MENTAL

its no wonder really , being stuck in a 6 x 12 kennel all day with her breeding and age etc but it is obviousley putting people off when they go to view her as she is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo O.T.T :teehee:

now they are debating what to do for her , its driving her mad living in kennels so if she is not homed soon then i fear the worst :(

ive put a couple of appeals out so fingers crossed it may work :sweating:

if anyone is looking for a high energy dog for agility prehaps or someone who can give her one to one and really work with her then please let me know and i will pass on your no .

thanks

This is very sad to hear because the breed in itself are or can be difficult to handle and not recommended for inexperienced owners. We had them for years but they were worked to the gun and really needed it too!! They are slow to mature...around 3yrs old before they get any sense! so a lot of people who get them as pets have given up on them by that time, unfortuantely at the minute they seem to be suffering with temperament probs too which is'nt helping the breed (my vet had to PTS 6 in as many months!! :( the OTT which you are describing is a normal trait in them, especially young dogs, they are a very exuberent dog and really love life. I hope this young lady gets a lovely home and soon as being in kennels will drive her mad, they are real people lovers and hate being cooped up.

I have my fingers crossed for her! :luck: :luck:

BTW,out of curiosity,do you know what the other bit in her is??

yes i totally agree with you , someone has gone along and bought a cute looking puppy then not botherd with her

her new owners ( if she gets any :( ) are going to have to have the patience of a saint :)

its such a shame :(

it looks like it could be either lab or a touch of staff or both  ??? its hard to tell , but her back end and legs looks quite staffy like
