Hi,

Please is a cry for help from my niece who has just got herself a lab and to her horror the kids have glued the dog, well put it this wayl they have spilled a pot of glue on him, whilst making their mum some nice pictures.

Has anyone out there got any advice on how she can get it out of his coat without hurting him.

 Jenny

that's all going to depend on the type of glue it is Jenny! for stuff like PVA a good soak with some soapy water should start to loosen it - other glues might respond well to baby oil!

The type of stuff that children are ussually playing with is arabic gum and it will come off if soaked in water. Lucky the weather is so hot :) , good swim in the river or lake should get him right.

Hopefully it is water soluble but if not have a look at the tube & / or packaging. Is there a contact phone number? These days they usually have an emergency number, if so ring it! Good luck

Linda

Hope all is ok....

Just for future reference what glue was it & how did you get it off?

baby oil is good, but reminds me off the time my brother and his mate painted our old driving goat purple and pink! (w00t)
