Hi there, I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before. So yesterday morning I noticed Bailey was acting odd she was spaced out also she made a strange coughing type noise. We took her straight to the vets and she was examined but all the vet could say was she maybe pre diabetic, she gave her a painkilling jab and said to bring her back today for bloods and urine analysis. However last night she was sick and collapsed so we rushed her back to the vets where they kept her in. They run some blood test and did a scan on her uterus which came back normal. However we have had a call from the vets saying she has a severe uti and fluid in her stomach and chest, he said it’s possible that the uti has caused this or it could be something more sinister like a tumour or a heart problem, he has given her antibiotics and diuretics and he said if she perks up she can come home with medication but if she dosnt she will have to stay overnight again and have more test. Has anyone else had this experience and what was the outcome, I’m literally gutted I’m scared we are going to lose her, Bailey is 12 and is a cross lab springer.
