A great turn-out despite it being very cold. Steve & June and Dave & Lynne had their puppies out and about and available for cuddles. It was lovely to see the racers of the future on their first outing.

Racing was in 2 weight groups today.

Lightweights:-

Heats Xplicit, Devils Double, Dearly Devoted.

Semis Xplicit, Devils Double

Final 1st Xplicit, 2nd Devils Double, 3rd Conway Tear, 4th Pebble Nugget. (a very close race between 2nd, 3rd and 4th. With luck Nigel will be posting the video soon)

Heavyweights:-

Heats Darkling Sandfly, Milans Dream

Final 1st Spennells Valley, 2nd Darkling Sandfly, 3rd Milans Dream, 4th Star Of Twilight ( the result of this race also went to the photo finish, with the win being over the smallest of margins. Well done Rob and Kay)

Cons 1st Spellbinder (Stig), 2nd Bowans Dream

Sadly the day started with an injury to Mick and Angie Sawyers lovely veteran Sav Silver Birch. We all wish them well, and her a speedy recovery.

It was a lovely sunny day, and it was nice to see everyone again. The pups were as good as gold, and although they weren't out as much as I would like because of the cold, they enjoyed the cuddles they had :huggles:

So sorry about Mick and Angie's darling Blue. I didn't know it had happened until just before they got back from the vets, and I wish them all the luck in the world for a full recovery for her. It was encouraging that she didn't seem to be in pain, which was a blessing.

Well done to Kay and Rob with Spennells Valley winning the heavyweights, and Lesley and India's Xplicit winning the lightweights, such good races we had today.

Lovely to see Barney and Candy's sister Belle again, and have a cuddle - they will have great fun when they are all learning to race together :teehee:

See you all next week

PS Can you put Smidge in for racing next week please Lesley ;)

sounds like we missed a good day (apart for blues injury that is)

i hear it was a good turn out and lots of puppy trials

massive well done to all the winners and an extra big well done to Chance's brothers Ace and Rocky who i have been informed both ran brilliantly with another dog

sorry to have missed today but other commitments kept us away..............see you all in 2 weeks ;)

It was lovely to see everyone yesterday. We enjoyed the racing, the puppies and the sunshine and we were delighted with Macy's win, - but our thoughts are very much with Angie and Mick. We are hoping that things go well at the vets today and that Blue makes a good recovery from her injury. :luck:

It's a good job we were testing the new camera equipment today - the heavyweight final & lightweight final were very close...

Takes a time to load but worth it:

Lightweight Final

Heavyweight Final

That's brilliant Nigel! Expensive, but well worth the money to know you will always get a right result at the Nationals. Once the white line is painted on the track you will be able to see which nose gets there first. Great!

They are QuickTime Movie files & are quite large (around 5Mb) so depending on your Internet connection may take some minutes to download. You may need the QuickTime plugin for your browser http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/
