Hello,

Can anyone help? I am getting a new pup in a few weeks and she is from Veetay lines. Has anyone herd of these? Are they show, work or racing lines?

I have ordered a blue pup and the sire is Veetay Blues Brother and the dam is called black lancer (who is tilly's kind of special x veetay blue dancer)

She will be a pet first and foremost so the lines are not that importiant too me but I indend on racing her (for fun) and just wondered what stock these lines are for.

Many thanks

I don't reconise the names from the show world, likely to be racers or workers.

Good luck with her :luck:

There are veetay's mentioned in lure coursing and racing threads on here (just googled it and that's what popped up)

We have High Jinx who is Charmaine Dusky Dawn x Vetay Blue Dancer

She is 18 1/2'' tall fawn blue brindle

and is a flying machine!!!!!

Work rate is fantastic nails hare for fun pre ban of course.

She does very well lure coursing and we have just got into racing with her.

Veetay Blue Dancer has Road Runner and Black as Coal as parents both workers I think.

Grt Grd Prts Lord of the Knight,Lively Lucie,Sooty Sam and Rabbit Runner

So an excellent mix of working and Racing lines

So youve picked a great dog for racing

Not show lines more a traditional whippet.

Look forward to some good pics!!!

Come along to the racing at SPWRC and have a look

We have Jinxs pups here as well who are racing for the first time this season

Look under pedigree racing for full details!!!!

I would say your puppy is very strongly working bred with only the tiniest bit of racing quite far back in the pedigree.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll get a lot of pleasure from her

Years ago we had a tiny black racing bred dog. I did show him with some success at local open level his dam was Vetay Rosa. He was bred by a couple that live in Lancashire and concentrated on breeding racing dogs. I can't remeber his name though I'll see if I can find out
