As we weren't running today, we arrived rather late and missed most of the stakes, but here are a few pics taken towards the end. If anyone can help identify some of the dogs, please let me know, I've promised to email them to the non-k9ers.

I think one of these was Sue and Terry's?

Two Jimanicas, the synchronisation of the stride is fascinating (w00t)

Although Gelert wasn't running as his toe is still badly swolen, it was nice to meet up with his father.

Laguna Liza's Link, looking very well for a nine year old and just as keen to go as junior.

Thank you so much James and Elizabeth- they are the best photos ever of Tess and Nana. :D

The only results I know are the lurcher stake:

Maeve

....v........Maeve

Nana

.................v.............Maeve

Tess

...v............Tess

Shy

Well done to wunwin and Maeve. (btw wunwin I have your rosette- either pm me your address or I'll give it to you at Thame)

However I am very proud of my Tess as she is only 19 in and all the other lurchers runing were 22" so she did well to get that far and gave Maeve a decent run.

Nana then went on to have a match run against a saluki lurcher which she left standing :p

Well done to all competitors..............................

Lovely photos Elizabeth and James

Hopefully we'll see you at LC or HS soon.

'tis little Fynn's first go at the Open season. We don't really predict miracles, but have to give the lad a chance to shine. Our darling Archie is on the back burner for now.......................He still has a go at local meets, but JUST FOR NOW he is not competing. Wait til' SEPT..............The Arch will be back

Probably not for a while with the BIG TOE. Opinion today was that we need a second opinion, so back to the vets again :sweating:

Some great photos Elizabeth.

Who won that one with Wish Me Luck in it in the end?

Judging from Anne's face, Wish me luck! I think hers was Jonathan seagull? (so I don't appear hugely ignorant when I email her the pics :b )

Look like Jimanica to me ........I don't think there were many racers or show dogs there
I think the racers might have gone before we arrived - there were a couple of people I think I recognised from Oxford racing days.

Carolina Venture - well she was in their red range rover when Terry was rummaging for my vetwrap - here's a better one. I'm guessing the other one might be Corabella star?

Anyone know about the one of theirs that had an injury, Terry was looking quite anxious about it  :luck:

Couple of questions about Sundays event, which I enjoyed greatly until my missus wimped out because of the cold!

Are the VDCC tracks usually that shape, or was it dictated by the size of the field?

Are there any more events planned in the Hemel area?

Is the dog Laguna Lizas Link the sire of Lord of the Night?

I think the one in Wickwar is straight, a good bit longer, and up more of a hill. I'm sure someone else can fill in more on this.

Yes, Link is the sire of Lord of the Night, and my dog Gelert.
