It was great, and I hope they keep this format as ......it really did make the winner's very worthy .....Plus Sue and Terry ran the racer's and courser's seperatly .......Made each win so much better ..........and as I said the finalist's really worked hard to be there ........Brilliant ........... :D

That sounds great. I think having 8 dog stakes is a good move. Should make it a lot more interesting.

No! that sounds like it wasn't interesting before. Oh, you know what I mean though - it will just make it even more interesting :b

Well done to Amber

Got a question about this type of event.

Where does the lure opperator stand?

How difficult is it for lure opp. to judge the distance between the lure and the dogs?

What is the distance over which this event is run ?

We have some huge hay fields around here and thought a similar event might be interesting to put on for all the sighthound breeds.

Do you only run Whippets and Grey's?

I guess that's four questions!!

Well done Amber.

An eight dog stake makes more sense to me too. Makes the winning of them so much more impressive.

But where are the results?

the lure operator is sat in the car (as the lure is run off the the drivers front wheel)

a great idea as batteries would soon run down over that distance.

he can see how far the lure is in front of them and does a fantastic job of keeping the lure just in front of them.

the distance is 400yrds (up hill)

they run all sorts of hounds in seperate groups.

the ground is perfect even in the hot weather.

Brilliant :D .......Now what would be interesting if the 8 dog stakes were mixed with racer's and coursing bred's .....I wonder if by the 3rd run the courser's will beat the racer's :)
