I have to say I'm very impressed, I think her statement is one of the more balanced and rational things I've read recently.

See here for the link (sorry, I can't work out how to link directly to her statement)

I find the current proposals to introduce more breed specific legisation extremely worrying - I'm not denying there is a problem, but this is not the way to tackle it and will end up affecting owners of many breeds. It's good to hear someone in the public eye talking some sense and speaking out against it.

The Comment which seems reasonable to me but I am sure, as is said in her comment, that the media will go for the more inflamatory position rather than the rational.

what is the way to tackle it? because it onlys needs 1 more high profile attack and legisation will be ramped up

how are they (media) supposed to report a 4 year old being savaged to death by a banned dog?

dogs can indeed be dangerous, but to put things in perspective more of us are killed by our own species than by canines
