:rant: has anybody had problems :wacko: I ONLY GO ON K9,AND I HAVE PROBLEMS CAN,T READ MSN EMAILS, I HAVE MY HOME PAGE AS K9. BUT WHEN I GO TO EMAILS MY HOME PAGE CHANGES TO SWAPX LISTS OF DIFFERENT SITES . I HAVE USED SPYSWEEPER TO TRY AND GET RID OF IT BUT IT KEEP,S COMING BACK ANY IDEAS :cheers:

Most people use a firewall to protect their PC. People who know about these things say it is a must as the minute you connect to the internet you could get hacked.

Try zone labs free download called zone alarm it's free but make sure you select the standard zone alarm version and not zone alarm pro.

AVG 6.0 free download is also good and I have noticed last week that when I was on here I kept getting hit by Dropper Delf trogan. Apparently Norton anti-virus can't spot this. This does not neccesarily mean the site is contaminated, it could be a someone on line visiting or a link etc. Either way, none of my anti-virus programmes have picked anything up on here this week so I think the problems been sorted.

Oh also MSN had problems last week and messenger was down so whether they've got hit again, I dunno, mine's working fine.

Internet protection is a must,everybody should have a firewall and an antivirus programme running at all times.Inconjunction with them as previously stated Spybot(search & destroy)and Adaware should be run weekly to "tidy" up the bits that get through.you can download these free from Majorgeeks or P.C. They are on pc world,but on majorgeeks they say" freeware" if they are free.You can get advice also on the geeks site,which is helpful.

thanks for the sites (spy ware).down loaded them ,but swapx just comes back when i try to enter my emials :rant: looks like i will have to format system and instal spysweeper styraight away to this trash out :cheers:

I usually use a combination of Spybot S&D, and Spyware Doctor There are a lot of things that Spybot S&D doesn't catch but Spyware Doctor does.
