WALLY

Meet the wonderful Wally. Wally is an approx. 3 year old lurcher boy who is likely a greyhound x with some saluki in there too. He was rescued as a stray several months ago and sadly the owner of the rescue center is now very ill, so Kerry Greyhound Connection is helping to find Wally his forever home.

Wally is a gorgeous, elegant boy with a red fawn coat that is in beautiful condition now that he has been getting good food for the past few months. He has a gorgeous face mask and big, black lined eyes that will just melt your heart.

Wally is really a fantastic boy, and it’s hard to find a fault in him. He adores getting fussed over and is a real snuggler in the cold winter evenings. He likes to stand on the sofa beside you and put his front paws around your neck for a proper doggie cuddle! He also has the very amusing habit of barking at any animal he sees on the TV!

Wally is calm and amiable with other dogs, both male and female, and is also excellent with cats. He is currently living in the home of the rescue centre’s owners with several dogs and cats and is an absolute star with them all. He is very playful and likes a goof around with his doggie friends in the morning before flopping down on the sofa for a mid-morning snooze.

Out and about, Wally continues to be an all round star. He walks very good on the lead and trots to heel. He likes going in the car, though has not been tested on very long journeys. He loves to run offlead and though he is occasionally conveniently deaf when you recall him, if you turn to walk away he will soon be right back at your side!

Wally really is a fantastic hound and ticks all the boxes. He has masses of potential and is guaranteed to make an excellent lifelong friend. He is fully housetrained and is not destructive in the home, though is used to having doggie friends for company when his fosterer’s are away.

Wally is currently in foster care in Roscommon, Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick him up. He is neutered, vaccinated, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Wally, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
