I've just ordered one of these nice pet warmers with a fleecy cover. Hopefully the little buggers might stay in their own beds rather than pestering me all night....

They only cost 15p/week to run so I'm going to leave it on during the day for them too. :huggles:

Has anyone else got anything like this? Do your dogs like them?

loads of blankets is my answer. 2 of mine sleep with me in the bed. one is a joy and delight and keeps me lovely and warm. the other stays down the bed till she' tooooooo hot and panting like mad. she then comes up the top and wriggles around like mad shoving and sticking her feet in one of us's face and mouth! murder!!!!! One of our foster whippets is very good at picking up a blanket, getting it over her head and managing to get herself curled up in a bed with the blanket completely covering her!

Yep - got the same here. You wouldnt even know Holly was in bed with you, she either goes to the bottom of the bed and keeps my feet warm, or she cuddles in nicely on my pillow. :huggles: Vader cuddles in no problem and never budges :)

Tie sleeps on the sofa all night and then politely comes and asks for a cuddle in the morning (but she is a collie x not a whippet :p )

Star....is gasping for breath, snoring, farting, stretching, poking her nails in I have to shove her to the bottom of the bed and make sure her head is sticking out so she can breathbecause she never has the sense to move herself... Leia's legs are sooooo long that once she's in I give up and go in the spare room :b

We did try to lock all but Holly & Vader out of our room...but at 3am they start to scratch on the door and do so until one of us gets up and lets them in...... we crack before they do. :clown:

They even have their own bedroom with a doublebed in it and a nice warm duvet, fluffy pillows, fleecy blanket on the top, curtains closed, wallheater on low (we have no heater in our room :b ) but they would rather be with us all squashed. o:)

I know we are far too soft with them. (w00t)

So, fingers crossed that the heated pad is irresistable.

An electric bed warmer sounds a good idea, but am not sure about the safety issue here, I would imagine the cable running into the bed would look very inviting to even the non chewers .

The cable is armoured so even if they do try to chew it they will only get to bit the protective cover.

It might get used for my rabbits too so I had to check that with the manufacturer.

That looks a realy good idea :D .....in our new house (when we finally move  ) the dogs will sleep in the garage, and i was looking for a bed warmer...

I was a little worried about chewing as well, what about the pad is it chew proof....and the wire, as tilly chewed the christmas light wire  , luckly it was switched off at the time :sweating: ..

What dd they cost or should i look on the site?

I have used such whelping box for my dogs comfort. I am a breeder of pomsky dog and it is really amazing for dogs best comfort, a dog owner should have 1 of them.
