My friend's border terrier Millie has numerous walts. She has previously had 11 removed by the vet but as she is 13 now my friend doesn't want to put her through that ordeal again.

Anybody out there got any home remedies for walts? Or are the walt remover lotions you get from the chemists suitable for pets?

Our old Staffie, Molly use to get warts and had several removed at the vets once they became large.

When they first appeared and if they had a small base, we tied cotton around them and they would fall off after a few days. No pain or mess. Obviously you can't do this on large ones, you have to get them when they're small. The vet told us about the technique, best to get a vet to show you how to do it if you're not sure.

Im not aware of any lotions you can use.

A homeopathic remedy for warts is silica, Rafferty has the occasional warty cyst inbetween his toes & a week or so of this usually gets rid of them :)
